2018 Eastern Canada trip: Day three - Halifax: Pier 21, Discovery Center, Harbour Boat Trip
Ladies and gentlemen!
On the third day of my trip to Eastern Canada last summer, I could finally visit the stunning city of Halifax, capital of Nova Scotia. I turns out that I believe this is the most beautiful city I have visited so far in Canada, even beating Quebec City and Ottawa.
Highlights: Visiting Pier 21 being an immigrant myself was a very emotional experience that I won't forget anytime soon. Halifax Harbour is a wonderful place where I could stay for hours without ever getting bored. The cocktail boat tour was great fun as well.
Curiosities: There was an elderly Japanese woman who couldn't speak English who asked a lesbian couple to take pictures of her. She kept complaining about the photographs and was communicating with strange gestures. Just as I thought that I was lucky she didn't ask me to take some pictures, she actually did and I experienced the same weird feeling the two ladies before me had. I'm still not certain whether she ended up liking the pictures I took or not. But to be honest, I don't really care.
Garrison Brewery: the only brewery I know that closes so early at night that you can't even have a drink there
