Alexander Street Parkette is a tiny but beautiful park that is only a few minutes away from the busy downtown area. Caught between several skyscrapers, this small location offers the beauty of nature and some moments of tranquility.

CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre is a beautifully designed theatre conveniently located in downtown Toronto and only about five minutes away from Dundas subway station. The entrance to the location is on the east side on Victoria Street. Customer service is quick, polite and helpful. Seats are clean and comfortable. The views are absolutely outstanding. The sound in this location is also great as you can hear every single syllable that the actresses and actors say. Restrooms are well taken care of. I would go as far to say that this theatre might be the best of its kind in all of Canada.

Elevated prices are justified by excellent quality. Centrepointe Park in Nepean is a wonderful spot to practise soccer from spring until autumn. The park is only about ten minutes away from Algonquin College. A beautiful pathway leads directly to a bus station where you can find convenient transits to downtown Ottawa.

Craig Henry Park in Nepean is a wonderful place to practise sports such as baseball and soccer from spring until autumn. A beautiful pathway leads all the way to Algonquin College which is about twenty minutes away. You can find a bus terminal with several transits to downtown Ottawa at that institution.

Black Squirrel Books & Espresso Bar offers an interesting combination of used and new books that can be read on the spot or even purchased and be taken home. It's also possible to buy a coffee, hot chocolate or tea and grab a piece of cake or a cookie to enjoy on the spot or take home. There are at times interesting events happening here such as intimate concerts. This artistic place certainly deserves much praise and attention.

Butze Rapids Trail is the most beautiful trail in the entire area. It leads you from Butze Rapids to many different bays. You are going to walk through the rainforest's magnificent vegetation. SS Tutshi was once supposed to be steamship that locals and tourists were supposed to be able to visit. However, a fire destroyed large parts of it. Leverkusen Opladen Bahnhof is the new railway station that is still going through slow changes and modifications. The architecture might look stunning from afar but getting near the railroad tracks is quite complicated with usually broken elevators and escalators. There is also much vandalism in the area. Parts of the train station aren't covered by roofs as commuters are exposed to the elements. In addition to this, trains are often coming late or even being canceled these days. The location is missing restrooms, restaurants and newsstands. To keep it short, this location is only just acceptable and still leaves much room for improvement.

Pattscheider Bahnhof is a former railway station that hasn't been welcoming any trains for three decades and counting. However, the building has recently been renovated and the new biking and hiking trail Balkantrasse passes by the former railway station. Several plaques offer interesting information about this area. This location is certainly worth a stop and a few photographs.

NaturGut Ophoven is a wonderful location with multiple natural environments, hiking trails and little playgrounds for children. It's an ideal spot for small families and to meet friends. Access is usually free but there are at times exhibits and other cultural activities that might request minor fees.

REMISE is a wonderful little restaurant and café right next to Castle Dyck. The cakes my family and I have tasted there were excellent. Prices were overall reasonable. Staff was helpful and charming. Restrooms are large and clean. Several items on the menu are currently unavailable due to the chaos our world has been plunged into during the past two and a half years.

Torbrücke im Schlosspark is one of the main sights around Castle Dyck. It offers wonderful views and invites to take magnificent photographs. The entire area is kept in excellent shape by the busy staff.

Dyck Castle is an astonishingly beautiful water castle that is being kept in excellent shape. The gardens and parks around the castle are beautiful and invite for long relaxing walks. You can observe numerous animals such as turtles and geese. Beware of hornets and wasps. The access fee is currently ten bucks per adult.

King's Head Pub is your typical Irish pub that you can find in almost every German city nowadays. The location is a little bit small but features charming decorations. The menu and its prices aren't quite up to date. Several drinks that are mentioned can't be found anymore, however there are quite a few new drinks you might discover if you ask staff members. The selection of whiskeys is particularly great.

Quite a few things can be found at Alte Papierfabrik in Wuppertal. The location is only a ten-minute walk away from the next Schwebebahn station. The building's architecture has been kept in excellent shape. The bowling alley however is quite bumpy. Staff at this location is quite friendly but also quite slow. Overall, this location shows much promise but needs some improvements.

Panorama-Radweg Balkantrasse has finally been completed and now connects the towns of Opladen and Remscheid. The entire trail has a length of forty-one kilometers. There are numerous plaques along the way that inform you about the past railroad tracks and its stations and sights. It's a wonderful trail that is worth being visited over and over again.

Himmelsleiter is a gigantic staircase that connects a little suburb with several biking and hiking trails along the river Wupper in Opladen. The view from the top is quite beautiful and worth a detour.

Darlington Park is a wonderful area right next to Schloss Broich. There are several banks to sit down and relax. You can also find several playgrounds in the area. The lawn offers much space for picnics. You can also regularly find people playing soccer in the park. It's an amazing spot for families.

Parkplatz Stadthalle, Schloss Broich offers enough space for several hundreds of cars for visitors of cultural events such as nearby Castle Rock Festival. Parking fees are reasonable but make sure to read all the instructions upon arrival.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park is by far the most beautiful stadium in the entire region. Admission fees are very reasonable. Staff works efficiently, politely and quickly. Access to the stadium is comfortable and fluid. The view of the field from the different seats is outstanding. Inside the stadium, you have a spacious gift shop. There are numerous restaurants offering diversified meals such as chicken wings, ice cream and nachos. There are three different local microbreweries selling their products here. Restrooms are spacious and clean. The next light train station is only five minutes away across a beautiful bridge. To keep it short, everything about RCGT Park is absolutely amazing.

Stray Dog Brewing Company is one of the very best microbreweries in the entire region. The place is comfortable with a little stage, enough space for roughly thirty customers and some board games as well as merchandise articles. The different types of beer offer some great variety. Customer service is helpful and polite. Restrooms look sharp and are well-maintained. The sound for concerts in this location is certainly above average. The next big bus station is only about ten minutes away which makes this place relatively easy to access, even when you come from downtown Ottawa or Gatineau. Make sure to visit if you want to have a great drink in amazing company.

The trails above Princess Louise Waterfalls offer some stunning views of the natural surroundings. Especially the little creek and the beautiful bridge across it are worth a detour. The only missing element is a trail map to find the most convenient trail down to the waterfall.

Princess Louise Falls look absolutely stunning and offer numerous wonderful photograph opportunities. The nearby Saint-Joseph Boulevard is the only element that lessens this wonderful location.

Orleans Community Garden is situated right next to Saint-Joseph Boulevard and offers a nice natural change of scenery. However, the busy boulevard as well as the presence of plastic make this place less idyllic than it could be in a more beautiful location.

Hermas Saumur Family Forest is a short trail along Saint-Joseph Boulevard that avoids the sidewalk and leads through hilly sections with grass and trees. The entire trail takes less than ten minutes to hike. It offers a nice change of scenery but nothing to write home about.

Place d'Orléans is a clean and modern shopping mall with a great variety of restaurants and stores. The only downside is that the architecture walks off the beaten path which makes the shopping mall unique but can make it confusing upon first visiting it.

Kanata Lakes are situated between Terry Fox Drive and Morgan's Grant neighbourhood in northern Kanata. Walking along these lakes takes only about ten minutes. You can observe animals such as ducks and geese here.

Monk Environmental Park is a series of trails in the forests of Northern Kanata. You can go biking and hiking here. Recent storms have however destroyed some of the paths. Let's hope that those issues will shortly be getting fixed.

Beaver Pond Kanata offers a few beautiful trails around a little pond. A roundtrip takes roughly thirty minutes. There are quite a few banks to sit down and observe the beauty of nature. You can especially observe ducks and geese. There are also more than forty different trees in the area. There is currently some construction on the east side of the trail that doesn't harmonize with the natural environment.

Landmark Cinemas Kanata convinces on numerous levels. This cinema has the highest number of film choices in all of Ottawa, screening even movies from China and India for instance. The seats are comfortable and spacious. The selection of drinks and foods is second to none. The only reason why this location doesn't get the perfect grade is because of some technical issues during the screening of one film that made me miss the final twenty minutes of the movie.

Bayshore Shopping Centre is Ottawa's biggest mall and offers an incredible number of stores and restaurants. Its offer, size and style is similar to the Toronto Eaton Centre. There are numerous big parking lots nearby and the OC Transpo bus station is only a five-minute walk away. It takes some time to get there by public transit from downtown, so the light rail extension can't come soon enough. As soon as the train will be functional, I will certainly be visiting this mall more often than any other. The only missing elements are beautiful nearby restaurants as this shopping centre is a little bit in the middle of nowhere.

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Kanata and Stittsville convinces with polite customer service, clean location and excellent food. The atmosphere is both elegant and relaxing.
