The location is well-maintained and proofs of vaccination are accurately verified to enter. You can also cycle and hike on the shore trail. There is a small beach with several chairs and umbrellas. Going here in the summer feels like visiting a resort in a southern country in the downtown sector of a northern metropolis.Harbour Square Park25 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5J 2G4il y a un jourHarbour Square Park is a busy but beautiful place close to the ferry terminal, several hiking trails and numerous tourist shops. You can take wonderful pictures of Lake Ontario here. This is a great place to start a hike or a stroll as there are wonderful locations to be discovered both on the western and on the eastern shore as well as on the nearby islands in the south.#SpadinaWaterfrontUnnamed Road, Toronto, ONil y a un jourSpadina Waterfront is one of the most beautiful spots to observe the beauty of Lake Ontario and downtown Toronto. It's a perfect spot to take some photographs in any season. It's also a wonderful spot to hang around with a loved one.Toronto Music GardenToronto, ONil y a un jourToronto Music Garden is situated on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. It offers a multitude of hidden trails, small monuments and little mazes that are amazing to be discovered. In addition to all these elements, you can also simply sit on a bench and admire the astonishing views of Lake Ontario.Ireland ParkQueens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5V 3G3il y a un jourIreland Park is situated on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. It honours Irish culture with different monuments. If compared to several other nearby parks, this one could nee some more maintenance regarding plant and tree growth.City Skyline and Sunset Viewpoint2 Stadium Rd, Toronto, ON M5V 2R9il y a un jourCity Skyline and Sunset Viewpoint is at the end of a bland asphalt road stuck between a small airport and a small yacht club. It's not exactly worth a detour. It offers lots of space for sports fields, hiking trails and dog parks. You can even find a few little monuments here. The train goes directly to Union Station in downtown Toronto. A ticket currently costs four dollars and forty cents. The station is well-maintained and offers lots of space. You can easily find information on prices and schedules.Marilyn Bell Park1095 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON M6K 2R5il y a un jourMarilyn Bell Park is situated on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. There are numerous hiking trails and parking lots nearby. The boardwalk is particularly enjoyable. Take your time to sit on a bench and observe the numerous animals on Lake Ontario such as ducks, geese and seagulls.Half Moon BayToronto, ON M6K 3C1il y a un jourHalf Moon Bay is situated on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. There are numerous hiking trails nearby and several parking lots in the vicinity. The memorial isn't only beautiful to look at but shares an important message. It stands out with its information plaque, flowers, stones and wooden fences. It's worth a detour and stop to relax and take a few photographs. The story it commemorates is quite intriguing as well.Sunnyside Pavillion1755 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON M6S 5A3il y a 2 joursSunnyside Pavillion is a stunning historic building but could use some maintenance to bring it up to date. You can go cycling and hiking here all year long. It's possible to do some canoeing or to go swimming here in the summer. It's a great spot to gather for the whole family.Sunnyside BeachToronto, ONil y a 2 joursSunnyside Beach is a small beach on the northern shore of Lake Ontario that offers splendid views of the surrounding nature. It's accessible to cyclists and hikers all year long. You can go swimming here in the summer which is enjoyable when it's not too crowded.Sunnyside BoardwalkSunnyside Boardwalk, Toronto, ONil y a 2 joursSunnyside Boardwalk is a wonderful spot to take a stroll along the shore of Lake Ontario. Cyclists won't bother you here which is unusually relaxing. This boardwalk is highly recommended to families with young children and elderly people who are in no hurry whatsoever.Cazsimir Gzowski Park BeachToronto, ONil y a 2 joursCazsimir Gzowski Park Beach offers wonderful views of Lake Ontario and its shoreline. You can bike and hike here all year long. It's possible to go swimming here in the summer but the busy park is certainly not the most idyllic place to do so in the region.Sir Casimir Gzowski Park1751 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ONil y a 2 joursSir Casimir Gzowski Park combines biking and hiking trails with a playground and a beautiful memorial on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. This park is worth a stop and a few photographs.Sunnyside Amusement ParkToronto, ONil y a 2 joursSunnyside Amusement Park is a little park on the shore of Lake Ontario. It's easily accessible for bikes, cars and hikers alike. The park is a beautiful spot to take a break from the busy big city life.Humber Bay Arch BridgeMartin Goodman Trail, Toronto, ON M8X 3M9il y a 2 joursHumber Bay Arch Bridge is one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture on the shore of Lake Ontario. It's a wonderful spot to cycle, hike and take a few photographs.Sheldon LookoutMartin Goodman Trail, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3W9il y a 2 joursSheldon Lookout is situated right where the Humber River flows into Lake Ontario. It offers stunning views of the shoreline and downtown Toronto. There are several little monuments to admire as well. You can sit down in one of the numerous colourful chairs. It's a great spot to relax and let the mixture of beautiful nature and big city life sink in.Contemporary MuralsHumber River Recreational Trail, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 3N7il y a 2 joursContemporary Murals can be found at South Humber Park right before the Humber River flows into Lake Ontario. The murals add some colourful elements to a section of the park that impresses less with natural beauty and is more of a functional use.South Humber ParkHumber River Recreational Trail, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 3N7il y a 2 joursSouth Humber Park connects the Pan Am Path along the Humber River to Lake Ontario. Walking through the entire park takes roughly twenty minutes. It's a great spot for hiking and cycling but the beauty of nature isn't as outstanding as in many other parks further north and south.Oculus PavilionHumber River Recreational Trail, Toronto, ON M8Y 3N7il y a 2 joursOculus Pavilion is situated at South Humber Park. It's an interesting little spot for concerts or theatre plays in the summer. As for the rest of the year, the pavilion looks lost and abandoned.King's Mill Park105 Riverwood Pkwy, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 4E4il y a 2 joursKing's Mill Park is a gigantic park with numerous different sections situated on the western bank of Humber River along the Pan Am Path. Despite its size, the park is a lot less spectacular than many others parks in the same area. It's only interesting to move from south to north or the other way around but there are few reasons to stop here.Old Mill BridgeToronto, ONil y a 2 joursOld Mill Bridge crosses the Humber River via the Pan Am Path. This old bridge has a stunning architecture and is well-maintained. However, there is no sidewalk which makes it somewhat complicated to cross for cyclists and pedestrians.Parc Etienne Brulé10 Catherine St, Toronto, ON M6Sil y a 2 joursParc Etienne Brulé is situated on the eastern bank of the Humber River right along the Pan Am Path. There is a big parking lot leading to several trails that allow you to admire the surrounding beauty of nature. There are also numerous spots admired by fisherwomen and fishermen. Parts of the park are currently undergoing construction but most areas remain accessible without any problems.Magwood Park1 Pasadena Gardens, York, ON M6S 4R3il y a 2 joursMagwood Park is situated on the eastern bank of the Humber River right along the Pan Am Path. There is a playground for children as well as a small baseball field. It's amazing to find such dense and savage nature in the middle of a gigantic metropolis.Guelph Radial Line Bridge [c.1917]Toronto, ONil y a 2 joursGuelph Radial Line Bridge crosses the Humber River via the Pan Am Path. The old bridge is well-maintained and looks stunning in the middle of nature. You can also sit down here and observe the beauty of nature all around you. Several fishermen and fisherwomen are also coming to this place.Lambton Woods1193 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9A 4C9il y a 2 joursLambton Woods are certainly the most wooded area along the Humber River and the Pan Am Path. There are many small hiking trails that give you the opportunity to admire the ancient trees all around you. Those adventurous trails are also used by cyclists who can practise their talents here.James Gardens99 Edenbridge Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9A 3G4il y a 2 joursJames Gardens are situated on the Pan Am Path right next to the Humber River. You can take a relaxed stroll or sit on one of the many benches to take photographs of the inspiring vegetation. James Gardens are easily accessible via a parking lot which makes it easy to visit even for families with young children or elderly people.Scarlett Mills Park235 Edenbridge Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9A 3G9il y a 2 joursScarlett Mills Park is situated on the Pan Am Path right on the western side of the Humber River. The natural landscapes are beautiful as you can observe animals, flowers and the river. It's a great spot for a relaxed hike and for taking photographs.Ukrainian Canadian Memorial Park425 Scarlett Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9P 2S4il y a 2 joursUkrainian Canadian Memorial Park is a small but beautiful park with a little memorial along the Pan Am Path next to the Humber River.Raymore Park93 Raymore Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9P 2S4il y a 2 joursRaymore Park is situated on the western side of the Humber River on the Pan Am Path. You can find a dog off leash area and a playground here. There are numerous benches right beside the Humber River. The natural scenery is quite stunning with its little islands and waterfalls. However, the park is currently partially closed as the southern end is under reconstruction. You can't walk past the construction site and have to leave via Weston Lions Park or Raymore Drive.Weston Lions Park135 Humber River Recreational Trail, Toronto, ON M9N 1H7il y a 2 joursWeston Lions Park is one of the biggest parks along the Pan Am Path situated right next to the Humber River. There are an arena, a baseball field, an outdoor pool, a skatepark, a soccer field and a tennis court. Weston Train station is only five minutes away and connects you directly to downtown Toronto. This is a perfect spot for sportspeople to take a break from the busy big city life.Cruickshank Park2196 Weston Rd, York, ON M9N 1K3il y a 2 joursCruickshank Park is one of the most beautiful parks along the Pan Am Path and the Humber River. There are several benches and spots for picnics. There are even a few little sculptures to find. The local playground is a wonderful spot for families with young children. The park is overall well-maintained and worth a detour and stop.Mallaby Park2394 Weston Rd, York, ON M9N 1R5il y a 2 joursMallaby Park is a tiny little park that connects to the Pan Am Path and Humber River via a few stairs. The park looks beautiful but suffers from visitors who smoke drugs, listen to loud music and drink alcohol in public in broad daylight. The park could therefore need some cleaning, maintenance and surveillance.Crawford - Jones Memorial Park32 Dee Ave, North York, ON M9N 1S9il y a 2 joursCrawford Jones Memorial Park is a beautiful spot to cycle, hike or organize a picnic with friends. It's situated on the Pan Am Path right next to the Humber River. Sadly, this park doesn't directly connect to Mallaby Park. You have to walk down Cardell Avenue and Weston Road to get there. Currently, parts of the park are under construction, probably to fix said issue and provide a direct link between Crawford Jones Memorial Park and Mallaby Park.Pine Point Soccer FieldToronto, ON M9W 3R2il y a 2 joursPine Point Soccer Field is easily accessible via Highway 401 but nevertheless situated in a beautifully natural area. It's situated right next to Humber River and connects to the Pan Am Path. It's a great spot to practise sports and offers an excellent balance between big city life and the magnificence of Canadian nature.Humber Valley Pond141 Verobeach Blvd, North York, ON M9M 1R2il y a 2 joursHumber Valley Pond is a beautiful spot to observe ducks, geese and seagulls. There are several trails leading partially around the pond. The only missing element is a map with indications of the different trails to help new visitors understand where they are and where they could go from here.West Humber river Bridge and Pond6 Atwood Pl, Etobicoke, ON M9V 1L1il y a 2 joursThe West Humber Pond is a small body of water that takes roughly twenty minutes to walk around. You can observe many animals such as seagulls, geese and ducks here. It would be helpful to add a map with the different hiking trails to give visitors a better idea where they are and where they can go from here.Bluehaven Park19 Blue Haven Crescent, North York, ON M9M 1W6il y a 2 joursBluehaven Park is a gigantic park with numerous soccer fields right next to the Humber River and its Recreational Trail. It's a perfect spot for children, teenagers and adults to practise sports in a natural environment while not being too far away from nearby suburbs.Rowntree Mills Park155 Rowntree Mill Rd, North York, ON M9L 2K1il y a 2 joursRowntree Mills Park is a gigantic park along the Humber River. There are numerous trails, picnic sites and bridges. The only element that doesn't quite fit in with the beauty of nature are the long and bland roads through the park. One single parking lot at the entrance and more hiking trails would be a better alternative.Pioneer VillageToronto, ON M7A 2C5il y a 2 joursThe architecture of the bus and subway station of Pioneer Village is very beautiful and unique. However, there could be more maps and schedules informing visitors about the different bus lines and departure times in particular.McDonald's470 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4Y 1X5il y a 3 joursMcDonald's on Yonge Street's intersection with Grenville and Wood Streets is conveniently situated in downtown Toronto. The opening hours are very generous, even throughout the pandemic. Staff is friendly and helpful. The wait time is however a little bit longer than at other locations. Some of the customers had very rude behaviour when I visited but were thankfully put in their place by the staff.Laird Convenience872 Eglinton Ave E, East York, ON M4G 2L1il y a 3 joursLaird Convenience is a little convenience store that looks a little bit unorganized. However, it offers a lot of drinks and snacks for reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful but has at times issues with the English language.Glendon ForestToronto, ONil y a 3 joursGlendon Forest is situated between York University Glendon Campus and Sunnybrook Park. There is a small trail connecting the campus and the park that takes roughly twenty minutes to traverse. The forest is calm and dense. The bridges and paths on the eastern side are currently closed but you can use the western side to move from north to south or the other way around.Wilket Creek WashroomUnnamed Road, Toronto, ON M3Cil y a 3 joursWilket Creek Washroom is strategically placed on the southern side of Wilket Creek Park. The building is well-maintained, spacious and most importantly open all year long. The washroom could however benefit from some additional cleaning and some more hand sanitizer and soap during the pandemic.Wilket Creek ParkToronto, ON M3Cil y a 3 joursWilket Creek Park is situated just north of E.T. Seton Park on the West Branch of Don River. The hiking trails are a little bit smaller and more adventurous as nature is more dense and savage. This park offers the perfect escape from the big city life while only being a short drive away from downtown Toronto.E.T. Seton Park73 Thorncliffe Park Dr, East York, ON M4H 1L4il y a 3 joursE.T. Seton Park is a gigantic park situated on the West Branch of the Don River in Toronto. You can find numerous hiking trails, benches, picnic tables, restroom facilities and spaces that invite for sports activities. This park is a wonderful oasis of calmness, nature and peace in Canada's most populous city.Lower Don Recreation Trail701 Lower Don Recreation Trail, Toronto, ONil y a 3 joursThe Lower Don Recreation Trail combines modern structures with natural surroundings in an intriguing way. Directions could however be indicated much better with some additional maps.Charles Sauriol Park, Forks of the DonToronto, ONil y a 3 joursCharles Sauriol Park is situated next to the Forks of the Don. There are some benches and picnic tables. There is a hiking trail connecting the southern and northern parts. Most of the park is dedicated to a gigantic parking lot that takes away from the surrounding natural beauty. Directions are slightly confusing as there should be more maps to help new visitors find their ways.Forks of the Don24015 Lower Don River Trail, Toronto, ON M4Jil y a 3 joursThe Forks of the Don are not accessible but can be observed from afar and offer a nice photo opportunity. Directions in the area could be better as the different trails are somewhat confusing. A few maps would certainly help new visitors to find their ways.Taylor Creek Dog ParkUnnamed Road, Toronto, ONil y a 3 joursTaylor Creek Park is situated in a beautiful natural environment. You can find benches for picnics, a dog park and fire pits in the big park. The only downside is that parts of the park are currently under construction which takes away much from the natural beauty.Elevated Wetlands425 Don Mills Rd., Toronto, ONil y a 3 joursElevated Wetlands are a series of sculptures combined with elements of nature. While the initial idea sounds intriguing, the sculptures are hidden by numerous trees and difficult to see, photograph and access. The placement on the side of a road that could use some maintenance is also less than ideal.Don River Fish LadderToronto, ONil y a 3 joursDon River Fish Ladder is a quiet spot that invites to take some photographs, sit down and go fishing. It's one of the most beautiful sections of the entire Don River.Fantasy Farms50 Pottery Rd, Toronto, ON M4K 2B9il y a 3 joursFantasy Farms is a beautiful location in the middle of Don Valley and far away from the busy streets of downtown Toronto. The place is used for celebrations such as weddings. There are some historic carriages at the entrance that offer beautiful photo opportunities. Some of these artefacts could however benefit from some cleaning.Todmorden Mills Heritage Site67 Pottery Rd, Toronto, ON M4K 2B9il y a 3 joursThe most interesting elements about Todmorden Mills Heritage Site are the surrounding historic buildings and gorgeous natural landscapes. Visiting the site takes roughly thirty minutes but you can also sit on a bench, have a picnic and take some pictures. The mill is only open on select days and you can visit some intriguing exhibits.Don Valley ParkDon Valley Pkwy, Toronto, ONil y a 3 joursThe Don Valley Park offers an impressive number of long trails that invite to hike along the Don River. You can walk for hours without getting bored or bothered by the surrounding metropolis. The only element that could be improved are directions. Sometimes, it's not exactly clear where the different trails are going and a map or plan placed at strategic points would be helpful for tourists and other visitors.Sculpture: Monsters for Beauty, Permanence and Individuality by Duane LinklaterLower Don River Trail, Toronto, ONil y a 3 joursMonsters for Beauty, Permanence and Individuality by Duane Linklater are a series of gothic stone sculptures that are very interesting to discover. However, they are standing in the middle of nowhere and should have been put at a different spot to be admired in their entire beauty.Toronto Necropolis200 Winchester St, Toronto, ON M4X 1B7il y a 3 joursUsually, a cemetery is a rather sinister place but the Toronto Necropolis surprises with well-maintained historic buildings, a beautiful and calm natural environment and artistic tombstones and memorials. It's certainly not mandatory to visit but perhaps the most beautiful graveyard in town.Riverdale Farm201 Winchester St, Toronto, ON M4X 1B8il y a 3 joursRiverdale Farm is open all year long and doesn't charge any entrance fee. You can observe some beautiful farm buildings as well as farm animals like turkeys, sheep and chickens. This place is particularly intriguing for infants and young children. Visiting the farm takes between thirty to sixty minutes. Restrooms are available but everything else is closed during the ongoing pandemic at the farm.Riverdale Park425 Carlton St #381, Toronto, ON M5A 2M3il y a 3 joursRiverdale Park has a small upper and a big lower section that offer much space. In the upper part, you can admire some sculptures, sit on a few benches or visit the nearby farm. In the lower part, you can play baseball, play with your dog or start a little hike along the Don River. This is certainly one of Toronto's most beautiful parks and worth a detour and visit.Corner Convenience Store491 Parliament St, Toronto, ON M5A 3A3il y a 3 joursCorner Convenience Store on Carlton and Parliament Streets offers a reasonable selection of drinks and snacks for average prices. You have to pay twenty-five cents when using your bank card to pay which is quite unusual nowadays.Allan Gardens160 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M5A 2E5il y a 3 joursAllan Gardens offer much diversity ranging from splendid buildings over playgrounds to relaxed spots for picnics. It's a beautiful haven of nature in downtown Toronto. The location is clean, staff is very friendly and the food tastes well.
