Travelling across Germany: Trier, Paderborn and Detmold
Dear readers of my blog!
I was lucky enough to travel to different places in Germany where I haven't been before. I simply felt like sharing some current pictures taken by my dear parents, my dear friends, and myself with you. The most important destinations were the historical Roman City of Trier, the northern town of Paderborn and the rural smalltown of Detmold.
My first destination was Germany's oldest city: Trier
Downtown Trier on a sunny summer morning
A look at the splendid Roman amphitheatre around noon
The Roman city gate "Porta Nigra" in the afternoon
My second destination was in the northern part of my province: Paderborn
Taking funny pictures at Marienplatz in the morning
My friends and myself next to a log flume around noon
A friend of mine and myself next to an amusement ride in form of a pirate ship in the early afternoon
My third destination is famous for its natural landscapes and monuments: Detmold
My friends and myself atop a sandstone rock formation called the "Externsteine"
Myself next to a lake in the Teutoburg Forest
My friends and myself on top of the "Hermann Monument"
Last but not least: A funny bonus photo taken in Hamm
