Dear readers of my blog!
On the fifth day of my wonderful summer vacation, I traveled from Ashern to Thompson in Northern Manitoba. I have always been fascinated by northern landscapes and the Province of Manitoba offers aplenty. I had to drive for many hours but it was worth the efforts and time. Thompson has a stunning number of sights, restaurants and hotels despite its remote location.
Watchorn Provincial Park on Lake Manitoba
Devil's Lake rest stop on Highway 6
Veterans Memorial Park in Grand Rapids
Bridge across Saskatchewan River right beside Winnipeg Lake
Pisew Falls
Suspension bridge across Mystery Lake
Msyerty Lake leading into Pisew Falls
Paint Lake Marina
Paint Lake Provincial Park
Thompson City Hall
Thompson Lions Park
Burntwood River north of Thompson
Highland Tower with Wolf Mural along Millennium Trail
