My 2025 Formula One Calendar

Dear readers,

I have recently been thinking about a perfect Formula One calendar. In order to be able to present said calendar to you today, I have been considering the following elements:

A: While it would be amazing to imagine potential new racing courses, I have only been considering circuits that currently exist.

B: Every continent except Antarctica should host at least one race. This means that I'm bringing back a race to Africa! It has been about time to do so in my humble opinion.

C: I have decided to find a good balance between legendary grand prix circuits and more contemporary racing tracks. I have brought back beloved classics such as the Nürburgring and Imola while also considering more recent locations such as Istanbul Park and Hanoi Circuit.

D: I have taken the decision to not include any grand prix in countries that are currently at war or at important armed conflicts. The only notable exception is Korea because an armistice was already signed between North Korea and South Korea all the way back in 1953.

E: I have decided to protect the environment as much as possible by reducing distances between the different circuits. The season will start in Oceania, continue in Asia, transit to Africa, proceed to Europe, go to North America, travel down to South America and conclude for one final race in Japan.

F: I have decided to reduce the season from twenty-four grand prix to twenty-three races. This number is certainly more than enough in my opinion.

G: Due to reduced travel time and a lower number of grand prix, I have decided to cancel the usual summer break for this calendar.

Without further ado, here is a potential 2025 Formula One calendar proposed by Sebastian Kluth:

1. March 9th 2025: Australian Grand Prix, Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne

2. March 23rd 2025: Singapore Grand Prix, Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore

3. March 30th 2025: Malaysian Grand Prix, Sepang International Circuit, Sepang

4. April 13th 2025: Vietnamese Grand Prix, Hanoi Circuit, Hanoi

5. April 20th 2025: Chinese Grand Prix, Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai

6. May 4th 2025: Korean Grand Prix, Korea International Circuit, Yeongam

7. May 11th 2025: Indian Grand Prix, Buddh International Circuit, Jaypee Sports City

8. May 25th 2025: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi

9. June 8th 2025: South African Grand Prix, Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, Midrand

10. June 22nd 2025: Turkish Grand Prix, Istanbul Park, Istanbul

11. June 29th 2025: Hungarian Grand Prix, Hungaroring, Mogyorod

12. July 13th 2025: Italian Grand Prix, Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola

13. July 20th 2025: French Grand Prix, Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet

14. August 3rd 2025: German Grand Prix, Nürburgring, Nürburg

15. August 10th 2025: Dutch Grand Prix, Circuit Zandvoort, Zandvoort
