Vektor is without a doubt a band with a whole lot of potential. From a technical point of view, they are very talented and also diversified. The problem is that they don't have a quite unique sound and remind me of many other bands. The first couple of...
Pantera's "Vulgar Display Of Power" is one of the most controversial releases in the whole metal genre and recently got some fresh popularity with the release of the track "Piss" that didn't make it on the original album and was released twenty years...
Ningen-Isu is one of the most diversified bands I have ever listened to in my life. This great compilation presents twenty-eight tracks from the last two decades and around two hours and a half of music. That's why this record is an essential way to get...
In the past years, I have always tried out a couple of Children Of Bodom records and came to the conclusion that the band always quite sounded the same and always included a bunch of predictable but heavily addicting party tracks on their records and...
The new limited edition of Moonspell's "Alpha Noir / Omega White" output represents the two faces of the band, their two pounding hearts, Portugal's best metal band's yin and yang. Alpha Noir is a dark and pretty heavy record that should please to those...
Rush have been around for over four decades now and are still out there to fascinate several generations of progressive rock fans with new world tours and charismatic outputs. Many other heroes have gone a long time ago like Genesis or Pink Floyd, others...
Nokturnal Mortum are a critically highly acclaimed underground metal band from Kharkiv that performs some sort of epic blackened folk metal with Ukrainian lyrics. This basis is already rather intriguing and original and makes this record an interesting...

Крылья which means Wings in English are a solid traditional heavy metal band from Ukraine that make me think a lot of the Russian heavy metal legend Aria. Especially the vocals sound a lot like Aria while the song material sometimes has more of a thrash...
With their very first album that presents a potpourri of songs from early demos and smaller releases plus a few new tracks, Waltari definitely introduce themselves as a party band. These guys don't take themselves too serious and you should be open to...
Sweden's Sabaton deliver some sort of a shortened greatest hits compilation with the brand new latest title track "Carolus Rex" and an exclusive bonus song called "Harley From Hell" on this special release with the most stupid album title since Candlemass'...
Honestly said, after the sequel of the "Werk 80" output, the world didn't need a sequel of the mediocre "Calling The Rain" release and one feels that the band is somewhat running low and repeating itself after so many changes of style and ideas they've...
Haggard is more than just a band, it's an ensemble of right now twenty-two musicians that mostly have a classic music background and play instruments such as a harpsichord, a piccolo or a timpani but also more common instruments such as cellos, contrabasses...
This movie comes fresh and straight from Indonesia and pleases or displeases the viewers with many brutal killing scenes, some rough but technically well performed fights and a couple of breathtaking stunts at a full speed pace. This movie is surely nothing...
Throughout the last years, more and more promising Chinese metal bands released their first couple of records and started to spread the word of a new creative, cultural and musical movement within this fascinating country. This new wave has more artistic...
Even though this movie is not as great as "Good cop, bad cop" and, as some critics said, copies a little bit the typical American comedy action cop movies or series like "Beverly Hills Cop" or "Rush Hour", this one is still one of the better movies of...
Atrocity has always been a band that polarized a lot as they’ve experienced a lot during their career. They’ve lost and won many old and new fans and went from grindcore stuff over death metal releases to ethnic folk experiments, gothic records and two...
When I discovered Voivod I always thought the original band's Achilles' tendon was singer Denis "Snake" Bélanger. As time passed by, I realized that his voice was just as unique as the vivid drum play by creative mastermind Michel "Away" Langevin, the...
Bức Tường is a hard rock band from Hanoi that is quite famous in Vietnam but rather unknown outside the country. The band recorded three records in the hard rock genre with some prudent heavy and power metal influences before they split up to reunite...
"7th Grade Civil Servant" is a quite entertaining action comedy movie with some curious spy flick passages and a romantic love story. A female agent loses her boyfriend because she can't tell him the truth about her real job as a special agent. Three...
I went to the cinema without any expectations and was completely blown away by this movie. In the beginning, it seems to be a boring narrative story with too many story lines and changes of space and time, but the more the movie goes on, the more the...
Stormtroopers Of Death are a sort of super group with members from legendary bands such as Anthrax that just wanted to have some fun and created a short and entertaining record around a strange character called Sergeant D. who hates pretty much everything....
I have always defended the style of DragonForce towards the incredible high amount of haters of this band. Many metal fans claim that DragonForce are too commercial and only gained success thanks to the youth that bought the Guitar Hero series. Others...
When I first got into the metal scene seven years ago, I started listening to a lot of classic heavy metal, to a solid dose of German Medieval Rock and also a lot of European power metal. When I was young, I discovered and adored bands such as Edguy,...
Ankh is a band from Tata, Hungary that mixes in a quite versatile way pagan with some melodic death metal influences. This EP is the band’s first release since its foundation six years ago and shows that these guys and girls have a lot of potential and...
