This movie is directed by the legendary Tsui Hark, features one of my favourite actors with Jet Li and is about Chinese legends and myths. This sounds quite promising but the final result is only of an average quality and therefor rather disappointing....
"Bedevilled" is another and once again brilliant tale of revenge coming from South Korea which is in the vein of already now legendary masterpieces such as "Oldboy" and "I saw the devil". What distinguishes this movie from the other ones and justifies...
Ladies and gentlemen! Please trust me when I'm telling you that punk's not dead! Before I started discovering the gothic and metal scenes when I was fifteen years old, I had been listening to punk rock music for many years. German legends Die toten Hosen...
James Cameron's Sanctum always proves that the ex-Canadian and now Hollywood director was involved in the project. The movie focuses on beautiful and breathtaking landscapes, a lot of special and light effects and dramatic survival action. But it also...
This Beijing based melodic metal band "夜莺" or "Nightingale" mixes harsher tracks with thrash metal riffs reminding me a little bit of a modern version of After Forever thanks to the grounded and mostly well performed female vocals and rather calm rock...
Thormesis is a German band that plays a very emotional form of black and pagan metal. The riffs but also the bass guitar sound dark and heavy. The fast drum passages are completely insane but also technically intriguing without sounding to progressive...

Vidocq is a masterpiece and easily amongst the best movies of the last decade. There are several reasons for this but the most stunning one is the visual beauty of this movie that gives this flick an artistic, atmospheric and also surreal touch. I have...

I was really intrigued by the trailer of this movie and decided to go to the cinema for the first time for a pretty while. The film is very worthwhile and touching with a great main actor, an interesting plot, a lot of suspense and action, a twisted part...
It's incredible what new vocalist Rasmus Bom Andersen did to a band that seemed dead and gone and never managed to live up to its potential since its influential debut. The young Danish dynamite revitalized the old band that came back with a bang in form...
The first part of the very loosely bound "Yeogo goedam" series that tell stories about supernatural events happening in Korean girl schools is the best one I have seen so far and easily beats the second and third part. This movie mixes everything a good...
"Kuchisake-onna 2" is often seen as a prequel to the first part but this is wrong. The story line and even the genre are completely different and there is almost no connection between both movies. Instead of a possessed mother that tortures her own children...
"Die Blackstone Chroniken" von John Saul war eine der ersten Buchserien aus den Genres Horror und Psycho Thriller, die ich jemals gelesen habe und bis heute habe ich diese sechs Teile, die in dieser Version in einem kompakten Band erscheinen, nicht vergessen....

Blood Dancer is a young and quite talented American power or heavy metal band from San Diego, California that keeps the spirit of bands such as Iron Maiden, Queensryche or W:A.S.P. alive these years. Despite playing a rather traditional style, the band...
Just like their genre colleagues Katatonia, gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost have decided to play a concert without audience during the ongoing pandemic, in this case at The Mill Nightclub in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The band has decided to play sixteen...
