“Seraphim” (or “六翼天使” in Mandarin Chinese) is a Power Metal band from Taipei, Republic of China. Right now, the band is composed by main songwriter and guitarist Kessier Hsu who has also been involved in one of the country’s very first Heavy Metal bands...
This movie is a very entertaining mixture of "Die Hard", "Cliffhanger", "The Fugitive" and "The great silence" with a little touch of Asian culture, a very emotional background and a couple of smart little twists in the ending. Even though this movie...
A friend of mine told me that this movie was worth a watch and that himself as well as his whole family had adored this funny movie. As I am fan of spy or police parodies in the key of "Mad Mission", "The naked gun" or "Austin Powers", I was looking forward...
This movie really is about the sense of humour and another unique cinematic gem coming from Québec. It's really hard to make me laugh but this movie almost permanently put at least a little smile on my face. When I wasn't laughing I was stunned by the...

Hobo with a Shotgun is a great comeback for the charismatic actor Rutger Hauer that has played in many well known classics of modern cinema such as Blade Runner, Ladyhawke and The Hitcher. He plays the role of a merciless and yet very philosophic, melancholic...
Holy Dragons is a power metal band from Almaty, Kazakhstan that is a lot better than its cheesy band name might suggest you at first sight. The band plays in fact power metal with grounded vocals and guts. They skip all unnecessary stuff such as narrations...

When a good friend of mine introduced me this flick as a "classic" of the horror genre I thought he was actually joking. I had never watched this movie because it seemed rather bad and stereotypical to me and when my friend convinced me to give it a try...
"Red Dawn" is a lukewarm remake of a classic with an incredibly stupid story line when North Korean invaders attack the United States of America with the help of the Russians and impose their ideology. A few young men seek refuge in the forests and try...

This is something I didn't expect! While I really liked Stratovarius' previous and more progressive output "Elysium", the band was going through quite hard times including many line-up changes and even after the split with the main songwriter and charismatic...
Baroness have been one of the most discussed bands of the year 2012 among metal fans even though this band has not much to do with this genre anymore in my humble opinion. What they play is nothing more or less than psychedelic progressive rock with a...
This movie is probably the heaviest one I have ever seen in terms of mental and physical brutality even though I know movies that touch me even more. Anybody that has problems with torture scenes, cannibalism, violations and explicit sexual content as...
Gangster Squad is the first small highlight of the young year 2013. It's not that this movie has a truly surprising story line or adds anything new to the genre. The movie is in fact based on true events as many movies are these days and the good cops...

Saltatio Mortis’ nine band members have been a part of the German medieval rock scene since the year 2000. This scene came to life in the middle of the 1990’s when medieval market bands started to mix traditional instruments like bagpipes, bouzoukis,...
First of all, let me explain you who Satan Jokers are. This is one of the very first French heavy metal bands. The band was founded in Paris back in 1981 and in the first five years of their career, they released two albums and one EP with classic heavy...
