It is not easy to write an objective review about your favourite album of all times, but I will try to do this here. “Carpathia – A dramatic poem” is grandly arranged conceptual album about a young man who travels into the woods of Carpathia to visit...
Durant les dernières journées, vous avez sûrement vu une panoplie de gens portant une fleur rouge avec un centre noir sur leurs vêtements: les animateurs à la télévision, les fonctionnaires en centre-ville et même les professeurs et plusieurs étudiants...
The album cover of Mystic Prophecy's Monuments Uncovered clearly shows that this cover album was all about having fun. It can't be compared to the band's regular outputs. As a cover album, it is overall average as it has as many weaknesses as strengths....
Artcell is a rather unkown progressive metal band from Bangladesh that has been around for far over one decade by now. Even though they might never get an international breakthrough, the band mostly skips annoying solo passages and concentrates on diversified...
The new direction of Dimmu Borgir is quite clear. They go away from their black metal roots and focus on a more symphonic style which is comparable to classic and dramatic movie scores. This must not be a bad thing. Other Scandinavian bands like "Therion"...
Baroness have been one of the most discussed bands of the year 2012 among metal fans even though this band has not much to do with this genre anymore in my humble opinion. What they play is nothing more or less than psychedelic progressive rock with a...
Three years after the commercial success of "Saengerkrieg", The German Medieval Rock band In Extremo finally released a new album after many acoustic shows, the departure of their drummer and their first own festival in honour of their fifteenth birthday....
After the rather calm and progressive first strike with the new singer Timo Kotipelto, the enjoyable "Fourth Dimension", Stratovarius follow the path and go even further on this release. There are in fact only two kinds of tracks on the record. There...
It's time to honour some great bands from the country where I am living right now, the beautiful maple leaf giant Canada and I want to start the discovery with this rather unknown heavy metal act from the early eighties. The music of "Breaker" is heavily...
What happens if you put the best child actress ever called Kim Sae-ron of the wonderful drama "A Brand New Life" and the incredibly gifted actor Won Bin of "Mother" and "The Brotherhood Of War" in one cast? You get a masterpiece that can't be reproduced...

The Chinese action-drama "The White Storm" took me completely by surprise and I consider it even as the best movie of the year 2013. It's an emotional and almost epic movie about anger, betrayal, despair, forgiveness, friendship, loneliness, loss, love,...
This was the record that finally put the Japanese metal pioneers Loudness on the map for the Western metal world thanks to an emblematic cover artwork, a simple but very effective album title and songs that are now entirely performed in English. Thank...

Even if this film has received a lot of bad or ordinary reviews, I may convince you to give it a chance. First of all, the whole interesting suspense story takes place in a very exotic and unusual place which creates an atmosphere of frosty isolation....
