I had the chance to watch the brand new Japanese comedy movie "Robo G" on an Air Canada flight a couple of days ago and I quite enjoyed this movie. Let's cite the negative things first as there aren't too many. The movie has a couple of lengths towards...
Two years after the outstanding self-titled debut from power metal and melodic rock supergroup Unisonic, the quintet is back in full strength with its sophomore output entitled Light Of Dawn. While many people I know didn’t appreciate the debut, it was...
Frost Tears (or: 冰霜之淚) is a promising young Gothic Metal band from the metal developping country Taiwan. Formed back in 2010, the diversified female fronted band released two colourful EPs so far and participated in several concerts and festivals on their...
This album is in the top 3 of my favourite metal albums of all time. In this moment, I would class this album on the second position just after The Vision Bleak's "Carpathia - A dramatic poem". I personally think that 2005 has been the greatest metal...
"The Limits Of Control" is a twisted and visually stunning experience with a philosophical background that leaves each one enough space to interpret the movie in one's own way. I think it all has something to do with two extremes: having a strong ego...
Kielwater is a progressive metal band from Lithuania which has existed under the banner of Spellbound since 1992. Many band members were replaced over and over again through the years, and it took the band until 2012 to release a full length release entitled...
Freaks is a fresh contemporary American-Canadian science-fiction drama. The story revolves around a seven-year old girl whose mother died in her early childhood and whose paranoid father overprotects her. As she grows older, she starts questioning her...
To be honest, this movie is quite empty. It lacks of an addicting or coherent story. The shy romantic intrigue is not convincing or emotional at all. There is a lack of tension in many moments of the movie that has quite a couple of lengths. On the other...
"The Spirit" is a visually very stunning superhero movie based on a film noir atmosphere. I would even go as far and say that the visual factor is even more developed than the comparable and overall better movies "Max Payne" and "Sin City". The movie...
Ningen-Isu (The Human Chair) is a criminally underrated doom metal band from Aomori in Japan. The tight trio has a very dynamical sound that also ventures into the heavy metal and progressive rock genres here and there. Imagine a mixture of Black Sabbath...
This is a movie filled with hilarious laughs, over the top characters and many crazy ideas that you should enjoy with your friends in the movie theatres or watch at home in an appropriated atmosphere. Once you saw this you might now what I mean. This...
The Invisible Man is a psycho thriller that imagines a new version of the famous horror film character. Written and directed by Australian genre specialist Leigh Whannell who has brought us genre masterpieces such as Saw and Insidious as well as the science-fiction...
Sebastian Kluth: “Hello and thank you a lot for taking some of your precious time for this interview occasion. Black Infinity is a modern metal band that came together in Saigon back in 2006. Please tell us more about the formation of your band. How did...
"Already Dead... But Alive!" is the debut EP of the Laval based progressive power metal band Eclipse that is now called Eclipse Prophecy. When I saw the Quebeckers in concert three years ago, they were quite ashamed when I asked them if they had put out...

The amazing cover artwork of this decent release seems to indicate a very dark and mysterious album but this isn't the case. Krypteria put much darker tracks on their previous and following record. This album her is probably their most modern record....
Seeds Of Iblis play a very interesting kind of raw underground black metal with harsh but also very atmospheric vocals and some dark spiritual chants. The four songs on their most important release to date are all quite short, intense and surprisingly...
NewOldLive sounds indeed somewhat old and seems to present some filler material from the early days of the ambitious Senmuth project. Some tracks are reworked versions from previous records, others are mediocre bonus tracks and we don't get the high quality...
"Badges of Fury" is a short and fast paced action comedy movie which is certainly entertaining but overall disappointingly superficial. The movie has a clever marketing strategy and includes many cameos by famous Chinese stars which include not only actors...
There are some things I don't understand in the metal world and one of those things is the popularity and the high ratings of this record. Let's say that the debut album of the Swiss metal legend is not bad at all. It has its own style but the record...
Almost anybody gave the highest possible rating to the debut record of "Psychotic Waltz" and that's why I got intrigued by the band. As a fan of progressive rock and metal music I expected something outstanding here. In fact, the band really varies from...
Judas Priest is one of the most influential metal bands of all times that released many world class records between their blues, rock ‘n roll and progressive rock infused debut “Rocka Rolla” in 1974 and their aggressive and more speed and thrash metal...
Alan Wake is a Finnish video game that was first released all the way back in 2010. The action-adventure game with horror elements quickly became a favourite, receiving positive reviews and obtaining the first spot in Time magazine's list of the top ten...
