Pantera's "Vulgar Display Of Power" is one of the most controversial releases in the whole metal genre and recently got some fresh popularity with the release of the track "Piss" that didn't make it on the original album and was released twenty years...
Far From The Sun is the weakest album in the strong discography of Amorphis. One can hear that singer Pasi Koskinen lacked passion and emotion and was about to split with the band. It's clear that the band didn't develop any further in the first time...
As a matter of fact, Chernobyl Diaries is another rather generic horror movie with only a few truly shocking scenes and a quite predictable ending. The only thing that makes this release a little bit more special than other horror movies of the same kind...
This movie is a remake from a film of the same name released back in 1960 but both movies are quite different and don't have the same story line. In the original feature, the housemaid seduces a composer and menaces his family until a bloody ending. In...
The album cover of Mystic Prophecy's Monuments Uncovered clearly shows that this cover album was all about having fun. It can't be compared to the band's regular outputs. As a cover album, it is overall average as it has as many weaknesses as strengths....
Permanent Waves is one of the most accessible and commercial records that Rush ever made and I don't mean that in a negative way. The brilliant opening double pack "The Spirit Of Radio" and "Freewill" are catchy and easy to listen to but contain still...
Artcell is a rather unkown progressive metal band from Bangladesh that has been around for far over one decade by now. Even though they might never get an international breakthrough, the band mostly skips annoying solo passages and concentrates on diversified...
"The Spirit" is a visually very stunning superhero movie based on a film noir atmosphere. I would even go as far and say that the visual factor is even more developed than the comparable and overall better movies "Max Payne" and "Sin City". The movie...

This album represents everything what Krypteria is about. We have fast and modern tracks like "Scream", catchy commercial and chorus based symphonic tracks like "The Promise" as well as epic tracks with a lot of classic influences like "At The Gates Of...

A Nightmare on Elm Street is not directly a remake of the classic movie but rather a story that is similar to the events featured in the original film with its own separate continuity. The movie takes a look on what has made Freddy Krueger the monster...
It's time to honour some great bands from the country where I am living right now, the beautiful maple leaf giant Canada and I want to start the discovery with this rather unknown heavy metal act from the early eighties. The music of "Breaker" is heavily...
Identity is a very well done American psycho thriller that convinces with a very solid acting, a couple of interesting characters and a very dark atmosphere as the whole movie plays during a dark and rainy night. The locations and the general story offer...
What happens if you put the best child actress ever called Kim Sae-ron of the wonderful drama "A Brand New Life" and the incredibly gifted actor Won Bin of "Mother" and "The Brotherhood Of War" in one cast? You get a masterpiece that can't be reproduced...
"Solomon Kane" is your usual predictable fantasy movie filled with a whole lot of stereotypes. Just take a look on the characters. You have the lonesome warrior and lost son that has to become a hero. You have his severe old father that has to face the...

Destroy All Monsters is the ninth entry in the Godzilla franchise and marks the return of original director Honda Ishiro. After two family-friendly predecessors, this movie goes back to the science-fiction style of Invasion of Astro-Monster three years...
In my attempt to spread the word about metal bands from truly exotic countries, I got in touch with this release and did immediately a little research on the band that has released two singles so far and might release the following full length album "Pain"...
