After the really energetic and powerful debut album “...for those who walk the path forlorn...” I expected much of the band’s second release. It’s always that the second album is the most difficult one for any band as it often determines if they have...
This DVD features a concert of the band that has been captured by three cameras for the Japanese television. The choice of the set list is quite well done and includes the greatest hits from the band between their heavy debut album "War and pain" and...
In Extremo is not only the most famous medieval rock outfit but also one of Germany’s most spectacular live bands. It’s impressive to see the seven members on a well decorated stage while they perform exotic instruments such as davuls, harps, mandolin,...
The young German band Kingdom of Salvation plays a rather melodic Death Metal with some Thrash Metal influences. It is very easy to get an approach to this solid debut album as the band is very diversified but always straight and heavy. The band opens...
I decided to watch this movie because I have read many excellent critics and because this book is used in Quebec's "cegeps", some kind of a post-high-school, and my girlfriend talked about it with me. Indeed, I am very happy to have seen this intense...
This is one of the best and most original debut albums that I have ever listened to. The Vision Bleak invent a whole new genre which they call Horror Metal. Well, many bands suppose that they are inventing something new and give weird names to their creations,...
Eyecatch Junction is the first official movie made by famous director Miike Takashi. Just like many of his later works, this obscure V-cinema flick from the early nineties vividly combines genres that seem to be incompatible for Western audiences. This...
I think that this movie (I have only seen the extended edition) is a really epic and entertaining one with an unique and mysterious atmosphere and brilliant acting. Especially Kyle MacLachlan is doing a great job, the special effects and graphics are...
I went to the cinema to watch this movie because my girlfriend really appreciated the first part which I've never seen and she convinced me to come with her. She bought the DVD of the first movie and there was a special gift card in it which allowed her...
After several weaker movies, Shyamalan begin to work on a new trilogy about the presence of supernatural evil in big cities. He concentrated on the script and preferred to let other people direct the movie and so you might expect that this first part...
Dark City is one of the very best dystopian science-fiction movies ever released and deserves more acclaim and attention than it has already gotten. The story revolves around a man who awakes in the bathtub of a dirty hotel room. He doesn't remember who...
Historical drama with depth and grit While everbody seems to be going crazy over Christopher Nolan's new science-fiction epic Tenet, I must admit that I have prefered Chinese historical military drama The Eight Hundred a little bit more. The movie tells...
This movie got everything that a good movie needs and deserves absolutely its place within the one hundred best movies of all times on this site! It has its own and unique character because of a typical Asian strange atmosphere, an excellent acting, some...
This movie is probably the best action comedy movie that the Quebecker and Canadian cinema has ever seen! While some other Canadian movies have too much of a regional charming and too many inside jokes that may not convince spectators from other countries,...
This movie is another socio-critical movie that comes from Germany after the brilliant "Das Experiment" and "Goodbye, Lenin!" before, "Die Welle" heads for the same direction and is also based on true elements that happened in the United States of America....
I watched this movie at a little cultural exposition and festival with my French class and expected the usual French sentimental comedy-drama kitsch, but I got positively surprised by the movie. It is indeed a comedy-drama with a very social-critic and...
Bad Times at the El Royale is one of the greatest Hollywood movies released this year. Set in a remote hotel on the California-Nevada border that has seen its best days decades earlier, the movie follows an intriguing set of characters that end up meeting...
This movie is probably my favourite psycho thriller of all times. The film inspired me even to begin again to write novels after I have watched it. I have seen this movie at least three times and I get always drowned in a very special atmosphere when...
Hidden Agenda is an interactive game for Playstation 4 that requests the additional use of a mobile device or tablet. You will need to download an additional free PlayLink application to be able to play the game. You won't be using the regular controller....
Even though this movie is not as great as "Good cop, bad cop" and, as some critics said, copies a little bit the typical American comedy action cop movies or series like "Beverly Hills Cop" or "Rush Hour", this one is still one of the better movies of...

Heaven’s Cry – Food For Thought Substitute August 5, 2013 in Reviews Heaven’s Cry-Food For Thought Substitute (1996) Reviewed by Sebastian Kluth It was by lucky coincidence that I stumbled over the progressive metal band Heaven’s Cry from Montreal while...
This movie is a masterpiece. I have been a big fan of the Godzilla series since I was a child. When I discovered the original movie at the age of twelve, it was only the second movie in my life that truly impressed me after The Lion King. The movie hasn't...
This movie wants to be as diversified as possible but it takes too many bits and parts of almost every style. Some historical and folklore influences here, some spooky horror movie inspirations over there, a little bit of the Quebecker's typical comedy...
"Two Guns" is a very entertaining action movie that mixes brutal and tension filled moments on one side with a lot of addicting dry humour on the other side. The chemistry between the two outstanding main actors Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg is...
