Orphan is an emotional, gripping and tense psychological thriller that has aged very well and has ultimately even got a prequel thirteen years later. The film revolves around a little family consisting of mother Kate who has just lost her stillborn baby...
This movie is another surreal piece of art by David Lynch, but it's not as great as the amazing and twisted "Lost highway" or the wonderful "Twin Peaks" series. Those movies ore episode are simply over the top. But it is still a movie that is more intense,...
Ren Chao Xiong Yong, internationally known as End Game, is the remake of Japanese movie Key of Life that had already been remade as Luck-Key in South Korea. This means that this film is already the third version of the same story. Let's hope that Hollywood...
This is one of the vary rare funny German movies that I know. But I must warn you from the beginning on as this movie is only interesting if you have seen some of the original, spooky and very charming German Edgar Wallace movies that have been released...
When I heard about a modern past-war movie that would settle in destroyed and desperate Germany that was turned in intense black and white images and would include actors like George Clooney, I was really looking forward to this movie. Well, I guess I...
Spinning Man is a quite unconventional psychological and philosophical thriller which has its positive and negative sides. The story revolves around a young cheerleader who has gone missing. Witnesses have reported seeing a car next to her work place...
This movie is a very intense psychological thriller filmed in very grey and depressive images and words that create a perfect atmosphere for this doom slow paced movie. The movie seems to be a simple vengeance story, but it goes far beyond this. Let me...
Although this is low budget thriller with some little goofs, I found this movie extremely entertaining and surprising. Val Kilmer might have become a slow and fat guy, but he is still a very charismatic and talented actor and is credible in his role as...
I have never played the computer game and haven't read the comic series yet, but after watching this movie, I will surely try to check both things out! It is true that this movie has many similarities to The Bourne series and that many films have the...
Assassination Classroom: The Graduation is the second and final part of the science-fiction live action duology that had started with Assassination Classroom one year earlier. The transition between the two movies is very fluid and it's mandatory to watch...

This third part of the mini series presents once more a different genre with this very insightful and philosophical conclusion. The movie is less darker and brutal than the first two ones and talks more about hope than desperation. The movie talks about...
*** This review may contain spoilers *** This movie is one of my favourite horror movies. The movie is short and sweet. It has an intense atmosphere. The actors are all doing an amazingly outstanding job, especially the great Ray Wise. There are many...
I know that this movie has some similarities to the "Die Hard" and "Speed" classics, but that's the only negative point that I can find about this movie. Let's talk about the great things now. The movie shows us an interesting but not overlong introduction...
With the seventh entry in the franchise, entitled Ebirah, Horror of the Deep, the Godzilla movie series definitely enters adventure film territory. The beloved lizard also moves away from being considered a dangerous antagonist and becomes an earthly...
The third Mad Mission movie - a very high paced slapstick parody of the James Bond and other spy movies with some Asian influences - is probably my favourite one of the entire series. Some silly toys of the first two movies have disappeared, the pace...
Once I came home from a party with some friends and just wanted to relax and watch the television before I would go to bed. I switched from one channel to the other and found this movie. Although I had missed the first fifteen minutes of the film and...
I remember that I have seen this mini-series on an autumn night because there was nothing else on the television. They showed the whole three parts of this mini-series in one single movie. I didn't expect much from this film and I began really slow paced...
This is probably one of the most intense and interesting German movies of the last years. It has everything that a good movie needs: Credible characters and actors, dramatic sequences, a lot of action and tension, a philosophical touch, elements touching...
One friend of mine, who was normally likes movies that I like, absolutely wanted to show me this movie and said that it would be a funny and very gore horror movie that wouldn't not take itself serious at all. My friend had presented me "Shaun of the...
I watched this movie when I was on an Air Canada flight this summer and though it was warm and the atmosphere in the air plane wasn't the best, I got totally absorbed by this movie. It is a really intense horror drama without anything supernatural, without...
This movie is easily the best French film that has come out in the last years. It is an excellent comedy with the two great actors Dany Boon and Kad Merad but the movie has also its philosophical, dramatical and sad parts. This movie is extremely funny,...
American punk rock quartet The Offspring has taken nine years to release its tenth studio album Let the Bad Times Roll due to label issues, line-up changes and other activities such as singer, pianist, guitarist and bassist Dexter Holland becoming a doctor...
Historical drama with depth and grit While everbody seems to be going crazy over Christopher Nolan's new science-fiction epic Tenet, I must admit that I have prefered Chinese historical military drama The Eight Hundred a little bit more. The movie tells...
