This year has had its share of excellent non-metal releases. They have been on par with metal records this year. My favourite record of the year thus far is even a non-metal album. I'm looking forward to discovering many new non-metal releases next year from bands such as Green Day, In Extremo, Magnum, MGMT, New Model Army, Sia, Sum 41, Takida, The Libertines, The Veronicas and many others.
