  • Ladies and gentlemen!

I have introduced you to the instructive reaction videos by classical composer Dr. R. Douglas Helvering earlier today. Canadian YouTuber Galactic Criminal is completely different from him. His approach to discovering music is much more amusing, spontaneous and tongue-in-cheek. I have discovered a few new bands thanks to his diversified reaction videos that also include movies, series and video games. Some of his content had been blocked due to copyright infringements in some countries but everybody should be able to watch the videos below. While Dr. R. Douglas Helvering's videos are very professional, Galactic Criminal's content includes some profanity but that comes along with his authentic personality. If that sort of concept intrigues you, then check out the videos below to start your discovery.

Alestorm - Fucked with an Anchor

    Igorrr - ieuD

    Cypecore - The Alliance

Bodom After Midnight - Paint the Sky with Blood

    Cannibal Corpse - Necrogenic Resurrection

Due to the ongoing pandemic that is still raging around the world, I have discovered the region I live in very intensely throughout the past year. This is how I got interested in videos about urban exploration in general. Let me tell you that I would never explore any places that are off limits or private, no matter how intriguing and unique they could be. This is why you should watch some urban exploration videos online with a certain ethical distance. It shouldn't inspire anyone to do things that aren't fully authorized, especially during a dangerous pandemic. Please always act responsibly! I have come across a German urban explorer who has such an ethical approach under most circumstances as he tries to get legal authorizations to access abandoned facilities. If the topic piques your curiosity, check out some of the videos below.

    Abandoned clinic in the woods

    Abandoned railway station

    Closed amusement park

    Abandoned cinema

Ghost town in the middle of nowhere

  • Ladies and gentlemen!

Another week - another playlist! Today, I would like to introduce you to one of my favourite bands. Japan's Ningen Isu has been around since 1987 and has released an incredible twenty-one studio albums as well as numerous extended plays, singles, collaborative efforts, live records and compilations. The dynamic trio from Hirosaki in Aomori Prefecture can be described as progressive doom metal band with numerous influences ranging from folk rock over rock 'n' roll to heavy metal. The band's musicianship is incredibly tight, the chemistry among its three members is second to none and the group's identity revolving around Japanese folklore and eerie horror stories is particularly intriguing. I had discovered the band about a decade ago and the group has grown a great deal on me ever since. I own one studio album, one compilation and one live record so far and I have listened to each release over and over again. Thanks to our globalized world, you don't need to import such records from Japan like I occasionally do but can appreciate the band's outstanding music on streaming platforms such as Spotify. I have carefully compiled a diversified track list in chronological order, going from the band's first extended play all the way back in 1989 to its most recent stand-alone single in 2020. Do yourself a favour and give this unique band a chance by checking out this playlist as an introduction to its incredible career: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3oiHldgYLGHrwoWrVH4Ddq
